funny story that’s completely unrelated to these pictures: this afternoon, during the mid-afternoon meal, my host family and i were discussing our meat likes and dislikes. i mentioned that i’m not a big fan of lamb (new georgian word i learned during tutoring today!) and found out my host mother also doesn’t like it. my host dad then asked me what kind of meat i do like. i replied by saying i like cow, especially hamburgers. my host dad then said that in winter we will eat cow. it dawned on me that we have 3 of them. i quickly corrected myself and said i like meat from cows other than our own (especially the calf, my new friend appy). i have been promised we will not eat our own cows. we’ll see about that. the turkeys are starting to look good though.
